“Good decision making is informed decision making”
There are seven qualifications in the suite and they are all accredited by the UK’s largest awarding organisation, Edexcel.
This means that our training, and your learning, is mapped to the current National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Leadership & Management and externally validated to ensure the required level of academic rigour is fit for purpose and carries the respected BTEC brand.
The terminology
The term, ‘Professional’, means that all the qualifications, irrespective of the time taken to achieve them, are at the equivalent of level five on the qualifications framework alongside first degrees and some post graduate qualifications.
Diploma
Is achieved on completion of all eight modules including the management project to give you a good, strategic overview of how the management process fits together. This takes around 250 hours or, to put it another way, five to six weeks of full time study although the actual qualification is ‘mode free’ which means that you are free to study at times and a pace to suit you and your work/ life balance.
Certificate
Is achieved by completing three modules and a management project that embeds the learning for you and also benefits the organisation you represent so everyone benefits from the learning immediately. In addition, both you and your sponsor (if you are fortunate to have one) can quickly see a return on the investment made in your development.
Award
Is achieved by completing one or two modules, the most popular being Leadership & Management including charity governance and your own personal development, which is core to everything you will do in your role and Charity Finance. Please don’t let the word Finance put you off as it is about understanding finance and we will prepare you to have a greater understanding on completion of the learning.
In all, there are a total of eight modules available to you in a variety of combinations to suit your needs if you wish to study for a qualification. However, each module has a self contained workbook and a standalone workshop should you simply wish to come along and find out more about what each topic can offer to you.
Completion of any of the qualifications entitles you to put letters after your name as they are recognised by the Chartered Management Institute. Should you complete the full Diploma then you will be entitled to become a full member of the Institute at Member level and entitled to use the letters MCMI after your name.
Open Workshop
In addition to the training leading to qualifications, Charity Training provides open workshops to the same standard for the qualifications. This means that, on payment of the appropriate fee, you can come along to a workshop; receive materials and a certificate of attendance for your CPD records and have the opportunity to talk with one of our experienced tutors and, with their advice and guidance, find out more about other services and support we can provide or what additional study is involved to enable you to achieve a qualification.
There is also a networking opportunity which is a real attraction for delegates.

So, what else can we offer to hard working, dedicated employees to recognise their efforts towards the corporate goals?
