The student

Welcome:
It is important to us that you feel part of our community and the personal contact is the start of that process. You have the opportunity to meet your tutor and others involved in your study so you are never left to struggle alone; perhaps the biggest single reason why learners do not complete their studies.

Workshops:
Yes, there is still a place for the traditional workshop that has other benefits including:

pencils

Meeting your tutor:
There’s nothing like human contact and looking them in the eye especially when you want to talk something through. Presentation notes are also provided for you to annotate

Peer Support:
You are not alone and they also know what you are going through and offer support and encouragement which never goes amiss especially if you are a ‘people person’

Networking:
If you are a fan, or know of, social networking sites such as Facebook or LinkedIn then you will appreciate that these are extensions of the basic need to network in order to share with, and learn from, others, including best practice, experience, new ways of thinking or, even, finding your next role!

‘Words’:
All our Associates are either subject specialists and/ or have sector experience and expertise. Associates have been selected to work with us because they care; about learning and development, the sector and, above all, about you and your learning needs.

pencil shavingWorkbooks:
When you register for a qualification you will have access to the Student area where all course workbooks and material is available.

Website:
You will have access to all the materials to enable you to read, reflect and study at a time to suit you. It is updated regularly and will also provide links to other sites and materials you will find useful. Want to link us with your website/ network to benefit others? Talk to us and we will be happy to discuss.

Webinars:
Very 21st Century! No travelling, no additional costs, no going out at ‘daft o’clock’ to take part in training, no fixed appointment; just bite sized chunks of learning delivered to your computer along with the opportunity to ask questions and, again, be part of the community albeit the ‘virtual’ one this time around.

blackboard-3Other exciting developments are in the pipeline but we think that is enough to be going on with although if you have any access issues or suggestions as to how we can improve then we really do want to hear from you.

Be aware, however, that this is no ‘walk in the park’ but it isn’t climbing Everest either and we are with you all the way.

Whilst we hope this encourages you, please click on each of the individual qualifications to find out what is involved in terms of the time and investment required.
